The world Bank (WB) forecasts GDP growth of 2% in the current year.
This was announced by world Bank Director for Ukraine, Moldova and Belarus satu Kähkönen.
“This year will be only 2%. We do not see significant breakthroughs in the sectors,” she said.
Thus the representative of the world Bank added that such economic growth is not enough for the growth of incomes.
Kähkönen added that Ukraine needs to continue reforms.
At the same time, the European Commission upbeat on the recovery of the Ukrainian economy, however, insists on the implementation by Ukraine of the terms for implementation of the package of financial support, disbursement of the tranche of €600 million.
Recall that in the 1st quarter GDP growth was 2.5% in the 2-m and 2.3% compared to the corresponding periods last year.
In July, the national Bank worsened the forecast of growth of gross domestic product in 2017 from 1.9% to 1.6%.
At the end of may the Cabinet of Ministers worsened the forecast of growth of gross domestic product from 3% to 1.8%.
