Ukraine is losing billions of dollars due to accidents.
The Ukrainian economy loses more than $ 4 billion a year in road accidents.
On Thursday during the First international Congress on reform of management system of road safety said the first Deputy Minister of infrastructure Evgeny Kravtsov.
“According to official data, Ukraine for the last 6 years in the accident were lost more than 26 thousand citizens. The world Bank estimates losses of Ukrainian economy from the dead and injured (in an accident – ed.) are more than 4 billion dollars a year. This is an extremely large amount which has a value at the state level. This is an extremely large effect on the economy of Ukraine”, – said Kravtsov.
According to him, in the direction of improvement was carried out serious work, in particular, approved the Strategy for improving road safety in Ukraine for the period until 2020.
