Experienced Ukrainian defender Oleksandr Kucher in the status of a free agent left Shakhtar.
The Donetsk club officially resignation Kucera has not yet announced, but his teammate Yaroslav Rakitskiy on the page in “Facebook” has made it clear that Alexander has already played his last match in Shakhtar
“You not only became a reliable partner on the field, but a true friend out of it, taught me a lot. With you we have reached important victories, we became Champions. I thank you and admire you,” wrote Rakitskiy.
The coachman, who previously played in as FC Arsenal Kharkiv, Donetsk “metallurg”, “Banana” and “Metalist”, debuted at Shakhtar in 2006. Since then the defender has played 295 games and scored 12 goals.
The coachman leaves Shakhtar’s status as one of the most decorated players in the history of the club. A native of Kiev became a seven-time national champion, six times won the national Cup, and in 2009 won the UEFA Cup.
Shakhtar take care of the replacement for Oleksandr Kucher with the signing of Georgian defender “Chernomorets” David Khocholava.
After leaving Kucher Shakhtar were only two players who took the UEFA Cup – the goalkeeper Andriy Pyatov and defender Darijo Srna.
