The widow of musician John Lennon, artist Yoko Ono has won a lawsuit against the bar “Yoko Mono” in Hamburg.
The woman said that it is illegal to use a name for a bar that is too similar to her name.
The court recognized the equitable claim, noting that an outside observer might get the feeling about the relationship of the plaintiff and institution.
“I am greatly saddened by what happened. We were hoping that we could keep the name,” said the owner of the bar Nimes Garush-PUR.
Earlier it became known that Yoko Ono want to recognize a co-author of the John Lennon songs Imagine.
