Summing up another week of the regular season for the hundredth season in NHL history.
In the West, Minnesota and Chicago continue to struggle for leadership in the conference, “San Jose” is gradually approaching the Duo. Calgary, winning nine matches in a row, joined in the fight for top 4. “Edmonton” and “Nashville” after an unsuccessful series has jeopardized their chances for a high seeding in the playoffs.
A few weeks before the end of the regular season only “Los Angeles” still have a chance at top 8. “St. Louis” through a series of four victories again stuck in the basement area of the playoffs.
Western conference:
“Washington” has suffered four defeats in a row, that allowed the “Pittsburgh” and “Columbus” get to close to the leader of the conference. Not so far from the top 3 are “Rangers” and “Montreal”.
“Ottawa” has not lost six games in a row, allowing the club from the same city to close the top 6 of the conference. From last position in the playoffs, “Boston” and “Toronto” are trying to press the “islanders” and “Tampa Bay”.
