The volunteers explained what to do when you are denied free travel

Such cases are not uncommon.

Occasions when public transport drivers refuse to ATO soldiers to free travel, are not uncommon, but the defenders often do not know how in addition to the dispute to seek justice.

For example, on the eve, the driver of a commuter bus in Odessa region did so against the participants of the ATO Vita Black Jablonowski. In addition, several times insulted and humiliated her.

This is one of many examples of the terrible attitude of some drivers towards the military. But in October 2016, the Ministry of defense of Ukraine on his page in Facebook published a detailed manual on how to behave in such a situation.

“If you are aware of a violation of the law by the staff of some bus stations in the sale of tickets to participants of the ATO, before going to the cashier find at least one witness. Then, in his presence, ask the cashier availability on your desired flight. And only then, if such places exist, get the ID of UBD and ask for a free ticket,” wrote the Agency.

In case of failure, noted in the defense Ministry, the soldiers of the ATO should call the administration and the police. The latter should draw up an administrative Protocol on violation of the law by the officials of the bus.

“If you purchased at the box office free ticket, and the driver does not let you into the salon, do the same as in the previous example. But the police in this case should be already two protocols: the bus driver and the company he works. Ask at least two passengers to be witnesses and sign the protocols”, — stated in the message.

In the case of a veteran require money for travel in public transport or the driver does not wish to follow the route, you also need to call the police.

“Order your future actions similar to the previous one, or contact the Department of social protection or in the administration of the district where you did, with the complaint,” wrote the Ministry of defense.
