In the first quarter of the current year Ukrainian exports of goods and services amounted to 12.4 billion dollars, with 2.7 billion more than the year before.
This week, the government reported on the achievements of Ukrainian exporters, exceeding the results of last year’s first quarter by 28%. “In the first quarter of this year the volume of Ukrainian exports of goods and services amounted to 12.4 billion dollars, with 2.7 billion more than the year before. In the structure of exports the biggest share was made up of the agriculture and food industry (44%), metallurgy (23.4 per cent), engineering (10.4 percent), mineral products (9.2 per cent)”, – stated in the article.
Despite the blockade of Donbass, the growth of exports of goods showed almost all economic sectors, except for wood and chemical.
“However, if we analyze specific goods, the picture is less optimistic, as we sell only raw materials and semi-finished — flat-rolled products, iron ore, soybeans, corn, wheat, barley. From for the finished products except the sunflower oil and sugar”, – notes the edition.
