The US will partially resume the issuance of visas to Russians

Now to apply for a visa only in the Russian capital.

The US Consulate General in the Russian regions will partially resume the issuance of visas to Russians. This was reported in the U.S. Embassy in Russia.

December 11, the US Consulate in St. Petersburg, Yekaterinburg and Vladivostok will resume interviews for nonimmigrant visas. However, it is emphasized that the issuance of visas in consulates will be conducted only to a limited extent.
The U.S. Embassy in Moscow will also continue to conduct interviews on immigration, diversity and non-immigrant visas to a limited extent.

The Embassy stressed that will not be able to resume the issuance of visas to the extent that it supported “to unreasonable decisions of the government of the Russian Federation to significantly reduce the number of staff of the U.S. Embassy and three consulates”.

“We continue to carry out their work with a significantly reduced staff, which inevitably involves reduced visa services. Although we are happy to resume the process, its limited nature is still a sad result of the decision of the Russian government to limit the state of the US diplomatic mission”, – stated in the message.

In August, the U.S. Embassy in Russia announced that the United States suspend the issuance of most visas to Russia. This is a limitation of the number of American diplomats in Russia.
