“Nothing of the sort is happening in Ukraine now.”
The Ministry of foreign Affairs of Russia has warned the United States on arms supplies to Ukraine.
“This decision is tantamount to add fuel to the fire. I think even in the American administration a aware of this report. That is why such supplies are still not implemented, although the conflict has arisen already for a long time”, said at a press conference the Director of the Department for nonproliferation and arms control, the Russian foreign Ministry Mikhail Ulyanov.
“If U.S. policy will change in this direction, it could face serious aggravation of the situation, without any reason. Nothing going on in Ukraine now, that would dictate any need for such dangerous steps,” he added.
In late August the Minister of defence of the USA James Mattis at joint briefing with President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko promised to expand cooperation with Ukraine in the field of defense and to consider the possibility of supplying lethal weapons.
