US special representative on issues of Ukrainian settlement Kurt Volker starts a European tour during which he will visit Ukraine, France, Belgium, Austria and the UK in an effort to find a peaceful solution to the situation in the East of Ukraine.
This is stated in the official report of the US State Department published on Friday.
“US special envoy on settlement issues in Ukraine Kurt Volker on 21 July, will visit Eastern Ukraine to meet with victims of the Russian aggression and to discuss the importance of security for all Ukrainians.
On 24 July he will be in Kiev, where he will meet with representatives of the Ukrainian authorities “to discuss ways of restoring sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine”.
After that, Kurt Volker will travel to Paris, where he will meet with French and German officials to respect the Minsk process and the Normandy format.
Next stop Welker will be Brussels, where he will discuss with officials of the EU and NATO, the prospects of a Ukrainian settlement. On July 26, he will hold meetings in the headquarters of OSCE in Vienna, to discuss the efforts of the special monitoring Mission of the OSCE in Eastern Ukraine”.
After that, the US special envoy will travel to London, where he will hold consultations with British officials regarding further development of the situation in Ukraine, said the U.S. State Department.
