The US government will impose sanctions on China in case of violation of the autonomy of Hong Kong, said the assistant to the President for national security Robert OBrien.

He noted that Beijing can not do without capital, other States and risks losing it if you would limit the autonomy of Hong Kong.

In addition, because of the repressive policies of China, many Hong Kong residents can go abroad, said OBrien the TV channel NBC.

A new wave of protests in Hong Kong began when China’s plans to tighten control over opposition parties and ban “subversive and separatist activities”.
