Here visitors are offered to come up with the names of the exhibits.
In the Japanese city of Chichibu, located two hours drive North-West of Tokyo, there is an unusual Museum, perhaps even one of a kind.
It’s called “Chinsekikan”, which means the hall of curious rocks. There are more than 1,700 stones, resembling human faces.
Currently, the Museum runs Yoshiko Hayama (Hayama Yoshiko), the wife of the first owner, who died in 2010. With his collection of rocks all began. An avid collector Shozo Hayama (Hayama Shozo) 50 years of collecting rocks that look like faces.
He selected only those exhibits that nature itself, without human intervention.
Now the Museum displays so many stones that some do not have names. Sometimes visitors are offered to come up with the names of the exhibits.
