The UN has estimated the size of humanitarian aid for Donbass in 2018

In 2018, on the provision of humanitarian assistance to residents of Donbass will take 187 million dollars.

The UN resident coordinator in Ukraine, Neal Walker said that to ensure humanitarian aid to residents of Donbass need to allocate 187 million dollars.

“Next year, for the provision of humanitarian aid to residents of Ukraine will take 187 million dollars. The crisis caused by the conflict in the East of the country, have affected 4.4 million people, of whom 3.4 million are in need of assistance and 2.3 million are in a particularly disadvantageous position,” he said.

According to the coordinator of the UN, about 1.2 million people in the Donbas lack of food, is two times more than last year. In addition, there is also a growing number of cases of antibiotic-resistant tuberculosis, HIV and polio.
