Recorded more than 34 thousands of civilian casualties, the Ukrainian military and members of armed groups.
Three years of military conflict in the East of Ukraine has killed more than 10 thousand people, of which 2.7 thousand are civilians and nearly 24 thousand people were injured.
This is stated in the Report on the situation of human rights in Ukraine of the office of the high Commissioner of the United Nations (UN) human rights during the period of observation from February 16 to may 15, 2017, placed on the organization’s website.
“Since April 14, 2014 may 15, 2017, OHCHR recorded a 34 056 of civilian casualties, the Ukrainian military and members of armed groups. This figure includes 10 of dead 090 (2777 civilians) and 23 966 wounded”, – stated in the report.
