The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine adopted the draft state budget for 2019 and sent it to Parliament
Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman announced increase in the minimum wage from 1 January 2019.
“Today she (salary – Ed.) is 3723 hryvnia. From January 1, 2019 on our proposal – 4172 hryvnia. This is a calculated value, which at the moment is absolutely realistic,” said Groysman, when presenting the draft budget for the year 2019.
The head of government promised to carry out the monetization of subsidies and pension modernization.
“Pensions will be indexed automatically the first time from March 1, 2019, as provided for in the legislation… with regard to subsidies – as it did not change the price of gas in Ukraine internally, we will cover all who need subsidies,” – said Groisman.
He also noted that will expand the range of persons who will be eligible for a subsidy.
As you know, today, September 14, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine adopted the draft state budget for 2019 and sent it to Parliament.
The main indicators of the budget-2019 announced before the adoption of the Prime Minister of Ukraine Vladimir Groisman. He also urged “not to inflate the budget that is not backed by money.”
Thus, the growth of the Ukrainian economy in 2019, is estimated approximately at 3% and public debt should be reduced to 52.2% of GDP. Previously, the Finance Ministry clarified that the safe state is the level of public debt below 60%.
Growth of incomes of the consolidated budget is planned at the level of 1.29 trillion hryvnias, that is 130 billion more than the budget for 2018.
According to the Prime Minister, the draft budget 2019 provides for the inflation of 7.4%.
Earlier, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine promised that he would submit to the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine the draft state budget of Ukraine for the year 2019 to September 15, as provided by applicable law.
Recall that Volodymyr Groysman have said that the State budget of Ukraine for 2019 should be balanced, fair and realistic.
“It needs to be balanced, it needs to be fair and it needs to be realistic, because for every number we will contact you to take responsibility. I think the time has come once again to demonstrate that we are able to make responsible decisions, and these decisions will have a positive impact on the lives of Ukrainian citizens”, – said Groisman, speaking to the deputies of the Verkhovna Rada.
