Ukrainian military managed to push the enemy back from the Town and to create a buffer zone, not allowing it to fire at civilians with small arms. This was stated by the press officer of the 72nd separate mechanized brigade APU Olena mokrenchuk.
“Shelling of the Town continues. The daily shelling from heavy artillery, small arms, grenade launchers, machine guns. What we failed to do is to push back the enemy and make a buffer zone to ensure that the enemy couldn’t fire at civilians with small arms, machine guns,” said Mokrenchuk.
According to Mokrenchuk, the enemy also uses artillery and missile weapons.
“Yesterday was twice applied MLRS Grad, shelled Avdiivka. About the damage and possible casualties, we learn later. The exact number (of attacks – ed.) yet,” she concluded.
