“Ukraine considers this visit and any so-called visits of Russian officials to the territory of temporarily occupied Autonomous Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol (Ukraine) is a gross violation of state sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, cynical and defiant disregard of the Russian party of the generally recognized principles and norms of international law”, – said the diplomat.

August 4, Putin arrived in the annexed Sevastopol, where they visited the Opera festival in Chersonesos.

The Autonomous Republic of Crimea was illegally seized from Ukraine in the spring of 2014 as a result of planned Moscow a special operation to total destabilization of the country after the revolution of Dignity. The Verkhovna Rada official start date for the occupation of the Peninsula by the troops of the Russian Federation was established on 20 February 2014.
