According to Yelchenko, the appointment of Nebezi could be a positive for Ukraine.
The style of the Russian delegation at the UN has changed with the appointment of a permanent representative of Russia Vasily, Nebuni.
This was stated by the head of the Ukrainian delegation to the United Nations Volodymyr Yelchenko.
“To talk about changing tactics, perhaps, even earlier, the new permanent representative of Russia has been working only one month. However, it is noticeable that very dramatically changed the style and I would say for the better. This, of course, does not mean a change in Russia’s position, but not the arrogance and undisguised anger in relation to Ukraine, which is constantly with great pleasure demonstrated by the late Mr. Churkin (former Ambassador to the UN Vitaly Churkin. – ed.). Ambassador nebesa – a different person, it has a more relaxed approach, any negative emotion in the Ukraine is not seen and not heard,” he said.
According to Yelchenko, the appointment of Nebuni may lead to a change in tactics of the Russian delegation “positive” for Ukraine.
Previous Russia’s permanent representative to the UN Vitaly Churkin died 20 February 2017 in new York.
