The diplomat spoke about the “Eurovision” without Samoilova.
Ambassador of Ukraine to Germany Andrew Miller in an interview with Huffington Post Deutschland said that Kiev would allow the Russian singer Yulia Samoylova in Ukraine at competition “Eurovision-2017”.
“It is theoretically possible to make an exception at the entrance. But the political damage in this case would be too great,” the diplomat said German journalists.
According to him, if Ukraine agreed to let Russia’s representative, the focus would have been no contest, and “deliberately instigated riots”. While Andrew Miller admitted that the situation with the Russian singer Yulia Samoilova can affect the atmosphere on “the Eurovision”.
“The mood may be somewhat depressed. This is the sad reality,” he added, expressing hope that the Central place in the competition, and not “political games”.
