Naval forces of the United States experienced the SSMM module with Hellfire missiles, mounted on a warship of the coastal zone of the USS Detroit (LCS-7).
SSMM module missile (Surface to Surface Missile Module) has 24 homing missiles AGM-114L-8A Longbow Hellfire with a vertical launch. The missile called Hellfire the module is equipped with homing radar with millimeter range, which provides Autonomous tracking and guidance for her missiles.
The AGM-114L-8A Longbow Hellfire reaches of 1.76 meters in length and weighs 49 kilograms, and the maximum firing range is 8 kilometers. The current test was held at the main naval base of the Atlantic fleet of the US Navy Norfolk, Virginia.
