Bilateral trade turnover between Ukraine and the Czech Republic after a serious decline during the 2014-2015 went up and for the first quarter of this year increased by one third.
About it told the Ukrainian Ambassador to the Czech Republic Yevhen Perebiynis.
“If we look at the trade for 3 months of this year, we will see: the turnover for the period totaled $ 315 million, or 32% more compared to the same period last year”, – said the Ambassador.
However, he emphasized that Ukrainian exports compared to 3 months of 2016 has increased by 40%. According to the Ukrainian side, in 2016, the bilateral trade grew by almost 20%, its volume exceeded $ 1.2 billion. Of them, Ukrainian exports amounted to 560 million dollars (an increase of almost 4%), import – $ 654 million (an increase of 36%).
Among the most successful examples of economic cooperation, the diplomat said that the project of Skoda Auto, which has the Eurocar plant in Transcarpathia. Ukraine has urged the Czech business to continue investment cooperation, to establish other businesses on the territory of Ukraine.
