Completed the eighth stage of the 104th version of the legendary French race.
Today’s stage took place on a custom script. The day’s break was formed only in mid-stage, and forth rode a huge group of 50 people.
From the front of the formation managed to escape four riders: Lillian Kalimian, Nicolas Roche, Robert Gesink and Serge Pauwels began climbing the final mountain of the first category.
In the middle of the rise Kalimian decided on a solo attack, which brought the Frenchman the biggest win in his career. On the final flat piece racer “Direct Energie” overcame cramps and the first to make it to the finish line.

At the final stage the first week of the Tour de France participants of the race will overcome three of the mountain of the highest category, including the Grand Colombier and Mont du Sha, located in 26 kilometers from the finish.
