Thousands of security forces carried out searches and urgent investigative actions.
Law enforcement officers exposed the scheme of evasion from taxes and illegal withdrawal of large sums of funds abroad, including for the financing of terrorism. Now ongoing searches. This was announced by Prosecutor General Yury Lutsenko.
“Pre-trial investigation found that since 2012 to today, the actual owner of the monopoly a distributor of tobacco products Megapolis, OOO Ukraine (now – Tedis Ukraine) is including a citizen of Russia Kesaev, in respect of which the decision of the Council sanctions which prohibit the withdrawal of funds from Ukraine abroad”, – Lutsenko wrote on his page in Facebook.
He noted that despite the ban of the national security Council and the NBU through firms transit from 2015 to 2017 from Ukraine were withdrawn 2.5 billion hryvnia.
According to Lutsenko, “under the influence Kesaeva in key positions in the company Tedis designated person that all of their decisions in consultation with a member of the Board of Directors of the Russian JSC Degtyarev Plant is one of the suppliers of weapons to terrorist organizations DNR-LNR”.
The attorney General noted that to hold a monopoly firm has also received assistance from separate state agencies.
“It’s 1,000 law enforcement officers conduct searches and other urgent investigative actions”, – Lutsenko added.
