Unit 3 is down for repairs.
At the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant (NPP) disconnected the third unit to carry out a middle planned repair. The unit was turned off at 00.01 on Thursday, February 16, the press service of Energoatom.
Repair on the unit will last for 270 days and includes a large amount of works on life extension. “During the repair of power unit No. 3 of the planned overhaul of the moisture separator reheater – 1000 No. 2 with replacement of the separation and reheating of the parts,” said the company.
Also, during repair it is planned to implement a number of measures aimed at improving the safety of operation of the unit.
