Lysenko also confirmed previously circulated by the headquarters of ATO information about 17 attacks by militants on Wednesday, adding that five of them were carried out with the use prohibited by the Minsk agreements, heavy weapons.
In particular, the direction of Lugansk recorded 8 attacks, all of light weapons, mainly small arms.
“On the most cynical provocations of militants our military opened fire in response”, – said the speaker of the defense Ministry.
On Donetsk the direction the fighting took place exclusively in the vicinity of the Town where the militants carried out three attacks lasting an hour each. The enemy used rocket-propelled grenades of different systems and heavy machine guns, forces of the ATO opened fire in response.
On the Mariupol direction the most difficult was the situation in the Maryinsky area, where there have been two mortar firing positions ATO forces and one fire from light weapons.
In one case of violation of silence regime the militants were in the Water and mykolaivka Volnovakha area.
“All six enemy attacks on the Mariupol direction of the force ATO opened fire in response, Minsk agreements not prohibited weapons,” – said Lysenko.
