Architecture has not changed since the beginning of the XIX century.
From the mountain village, the Ghost in Switzerland, intend to make a real hotel. About it writes portal Petergreenberg.
The village of Corippo in Switzerland until recently, slowly but surely turned into a Ghost. This prosperous town 20 kilometres from the border with Italy there were about 300 people.
However, by 2017, there were only 13 permanent residents, whose average age exceeds 75 years. Local Foundation Fondazione Corippo 1975 immediately made the decision to save vanishing village, turning its charming houses in the so-called albergo diffuso (scattered hotel).
These hotels began to appear in the early 1980-ies in Italy on the site of the historic villages. Hotels are not in one unit, their guests live in buildings and houses standing separately from each other. According to the plan of conversion, Corippo with its beautiful stone houses, many narrow streets and magnificent mountain scenery gradually turned into a large hotel complex.
About 30 of the 70 rustic buildings should be converted into cottages and villas. The hotel is planned to open by Easter 2020. Right now, tourists are offered to stay at a two-story house, Casa Arcotti, which opened in July 2018. Apartment boasts kitchen, bathroom and living room, and some interesting features such as ceilings with wooden beams and terracotta floors.
Staying in a cabin will cost 111 euros per night. As noted by the President of the Foundation Fondazione Corippo 1975 Fabio Giacomazzi, each house will get the name of the family that he once belonged to. In addition, will be repaired by the local mill and the area seeded rye field. Thus, guests can try homemade bread.
Also, Corippo plan to organize transfers to the nearest bus stop tours of the surrounding landscape, Museum visits and cooking classes.
After the final implementation of the plan, tourists will have the opportunity to live in an authentic rural valley, which is virtually unchanged since the beginning of the XIX century.
