Criminal case is brought.
The security police of Estonia detained the citizen of Russia, who is suspected of working for the Russian military intelligence GRU.
The detention was carried out on 9 January this year. The Director General of the security police, Arnold sinisalu said that this is the first time in Estonia we managed to catch a GRU agent.
State Prosecutor Inna Ombler reported that suspected anti-state activities of man is under arrest with the permission of the court. A criminal case under article of the Penal code, criminalizing actions without the use of force directed against the independence and territorial integrity of Estonia.
The details of the investigation, law enforcement agencies have not yet reported.
