The Governor of Moscow region Andrei Vorobyov has requested defense assistance in fighting the coronavirus, said the Minister Sergei Shoigu. About it reports TASS.
The government of Moscow region was asked to provide them with a military medical team, including intensive care, to aid in the treatment of infected with a coronavirus. The decision was made, said Shoigu.
The Minister of defence said that the military should support those who find themselves in a difficult situation.
Earlier on April 24, Shoigu and Vorobyov was given the start of the infectious military medical center in Odintsovo. The complex, designed for 100 beds, will be used for the treatment of cases of coronavirus infection. Instructed the defense Ministry to build the country of 16 such objects.
The Moscow region is the second region in Russia by the number of identified cases of infection with coronavirus: for the whole period of the epidemic was almost 7.9 thousand cases, 235 patients had recovered, 66 had died.
