Volkswagen company showed “charged” version of its smallest model — compact Up!. Modification GTI got a 115-horsepower engine and lowered suspension.
VW said that while Up! GTI has the status of a prototype, but mass production and sales will begin in 2018. The novelty, the mass of which amounted to 997 pounds, is equipped with a liter turbo engine with three cylinders (230 Nm) and a six-speed manual transmission.
Acceleration from standstill to “hundreds” takes 8.8 seconds, top speed of almost 200 kilometers per hour. In a press release, the brand States that, dynamic characteristics of “hot” CD is superior to the Golf GTI of the first generation — 110-HP hot-hatch weighing 810 pounds gained 100 kilometers per hour in nine seconds and 182 km / h top speed.
Other features Up! GTI has been modified with sports suspension settings and reduced by 15 mm ground clearance. However, the CD has received 17-inch wheels, more aggressive body kit, red brake calipers in the front and red stripes on the body (mixed with black bars on the sides).
The interior “charged” model is a wheel with a beveled lower end, and seats in the box (in the style of the Golf GTI) and a set of red accents.
