The shooting of the Maidan: the court returned the indictment

The document was returned after 1.5 years of the case.

Solomensky regional court of Kiev was returned to the Prosecutor’s indictment in criminal proceedings on the illegal transfer of weapons to police officers and “aunts” for the shooting of activists Euromayday in February 2014.

This was announced by the head of the Department of special investigations of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine Serhiy Gorbatyuk.

He said that the prosecution appeal the verdict.

“The indictment charged was returned by the court to the Prosecutor and it happened after 1,5 years of consideration of the case in the preparatory meeting,” he said.

Mr. Yan said that in the document we are talking about those persons who are directly given weapons, and those that provided guidance.

“And the court believes that these individuals should not be included in the indictment. In our opinion, this is illegal”, – he stressed.
