Consequence opened a criminal case under article “negligence” after death in the new Bryansk perinatal center 11 newborn for three months.

“Investigative agencies of the investigative Committee of the Russian Federation in the Bryansk region initiated a criminal case on signs of the crime provided by part 3 of article 293 of the criminal code of the Russian Federation (the negligence which has entailed on imprudence death of two or more persons)”, — stated in the message.
In a medical facility explained this situation by the fact that they render specialized care to newborns and pregnant women at high risk. Of 705 born in the centre during this time children, 60 were premature. They received medical treatment in the intensive care unit and intensive care.
“Of these, 23 children had a weight below 1500 grams. Through the use of modern perinatal technologies saved the lives of 32 children, including 16 — low and extremely low birth weight”, — stated in the message of medical facilities.
However, the investigators intend to clarify the issues of quality of medical services and to give a legal assessment of activities of employees of the centre.
