National Agency of Ukraine concerning the identification, investigation and management of assets derived from corruption and other crimes (ARMA) passed for sale of the arrested fishing black sea seiner Nord. On Tuesday, October 23, the press service of ARMA.

It is noted that the decision to sell was made due to the high cost of maintaining the vessel.

“Having carried out appropriate measures to ensure the safety of the property while continuing the enforcement proceedings, it is clear that the cost of storage and the contents are too big. In accordance with the decree of the Cabinet of Ministers until a decision on confiscation, this vessel will be sold. Funds from sales will go to the expense of ARMAGH in the state Bank and will expect a court decision”, – said the head of the legal Department ARMA Andrey Potyomkin.

The ship built in 1989 in the city of Azov (Rostov oblast of Russia), its length is 23,6 m, width – 6,5 m, main engine power – 165 kW, with a net capacity of 32 tones. Electronic bidding will be held on 7 November 2018, the starting price – 1 million 626 thousand UAH .181.

Recall, March 25, Ukrainian border guards detained a fishing vessel-the infringer Nord from the Crimea. On Board were 10 people. The captain was arrested but later released on bail. Other members of the crew tried to leave Ukraine, but was stopped at the airport in Kiev. Fly to Minsk and return home in the Crimea was only two sailors due to the fact that Russian diplomats gave them a new passport, where the names did not match those that were specified in the Ukrainian stop-sheets.
