The series of “the worst book” will grow anthologies classics

Just yesterday a colleague Senoid told about the plans of the publishing house AST release in the series “the Dark tower” by Stephen king a large retrospective anthology of another Stephen, the famous originator Stephen Jones. The book, the cover of which looks suspiciously like the cover of the first volume in the series “The scariest book” promises to be a thick, serious and quality. Can something to respond to this Patriotic adherents of the genre?.. Answer: YES. Or rather: YES, and how!

According to the editor of the SSK-series (published also in the act, but is the St. Petersburg edition of “Astrel-SPb”) Irina Epifanova, guide publisher approved the release in a series of anthologies of the classics of the genre. And it’s not even about one book, and the two volumes, which, in case of success and may be re-published separately in a special gift design.

Work on these books has already begun. The originator, as usual, the FCS-anthologies, will be your humble servant, Parfenov M. S., which this time will take his assistant ex-editor of the webzine, DARKER, a great expert on the classics of the genre Dmitry Kvashnin (the agreement in principle of the latter has already received).

What’s important. In these anthologies, we plan to gather as terrible stories of the famous Russian authors and works of foreign classics. The composition is still early to speak, but the focus will be on texts of rare, little known, or hitherto not at all known to the Russian readers. At the same time well-known authors like G. F. Lovecraft in these anthologies will appear.
