The Russians “took over the work in Scotland to vote for independence from the UK.”
U.S. Senator Angus king (Angus King) said that the Russian cyberagent began work in Scotland in support of the second referendum on independence.
The Senator said at a hearing in Washington about Russia’s intervention in last year’s presidential elections in the United States, and Scotland is also in the list of “purposes” of the Kremlin.
“We know that the Russians were involved in the elections in France. We know that they are involved in elections in Germany. We now know that they were involved in the division of Spanish … And I understand that they took a job in Scotland to vote for independence from great Britain. This is a complex national strategy. She has not stopped and will not stop,” – said the Senator intelligence Committee of the Senate.
As previously reported, foreign governments such as Russia and China, could intervene in the voting process in the referendum on the British exit from the EU (Brexit).
