On Wednesday evening, held in Las Vegas Convention CinemaCon, it was announced changing the name of horror about the demonic doll “Annabelle 2”. From now on it will be called “Annabelle: Creation”. Obviously, in Russian it should transform into “the Curse of Annabelle: the Creation”, although the distributors can easily leave the previous version (with the serial number in the title), they will not rust. The appearance of the subtitle was confirmed by the film Director David F. Sandberg. Responding to comments on Twitter, he said he was quite satisfied with the figure “2” in the title, but the leadership insisted on changes. This was done in order to clarify: the new film is not a direct sequel, here’s another story. The subtitle hints that it will be centered around the puppeteer and his creepy offspring. We will remind, Sam Sandberg in an interview said that the second film about the Annabelle may be the “Godfather 2” for horror movies about dolls.
A few years after the tragic death of their young daughter, the puppet master and his wife invited to his house the nun and several girls from the orphanage, soon becoming a target for obsessed of creating a doll — Annabelle.
The film will be another brick in the cinematic horror universe, the name of James WAN, which gave rise to the”Curse”. Moreover, it is suspected that the tape Sandberg will be associated with the “Nun” Corina hardy, telling of the demon from the second “Curse”. Well, the more interesting.
The world premiere of the second part of “the curse of Annabelle” is scheduled for August 11, 2017. At the helm of the project, Sandberg previously noted horror “And the lights go out”. Involved in leading roles Miranda Otto, Stephanie Sigman, Lulu Wilson, Anthony Lapaglia. And on top they are followed by the watchful eye of producer James WAN.
