The media reports that Germany intends to expand the sanctions list of the EU against Russia because of the scandal with Siemens turbine is likely to be a fake. This was stated press Secretary of the President Dmitry Peskov.
“Do not believe it is possible to comment on reports from Reuters that did not contain any reference to any distinct source, – said Peskov. Often these messages are then proved takovymi, so do not consider it possible to comment on it”.
Answering the question of whether the Kremlin will respond to these sanctions or try to alleviate them, press Secretary of the head of state also noted that it considers irrelevant any hypothetical reasoning.
“Therefore to speak about any eventual retaliatory measures without having a clear introduction about action taken or not taken decisions would be counterproductive and not do that,” concluded Sands.
Earlier it was reported that Germany proposed the European Union to extend sanctions against the Russian Federation because of the supply of gas turbine from Siemens in the occupied Crimea.
