Three Russians asked for asylum in Ukraine

Three citizens of the Russian Federation 27, 38 and 45 years in the week asked about the status of refugees because of persecution in Russia. On Saturday, 2 December, the press service of the State border service of Ukraine.

“One of them arrived this morning at the checkpoint Kiev-passenger at the time asked an oral statement on the recognition of refugee status or person who needs additional protection. According to the Russians, he participated in rallies against corruption and for the Russian opposition, in particular, Alexei Navalny, therefore, being prosecuted in the Russian Federation”, – reports a press-service.

Another one in the same checkpoint said that he was forced to flee Russia due to persecution in connection with participation in the protests against the government.

Another citizen of the Russian Federation applied for asylum in one of the checkpoints in the Chernihiv region. The reason is the same – “the prosecution authorities of the Russian Federation”.
