The Russian military conducted exercises in Transnistria

Special tactical exercise was attended by up to 100 military personnel and more than 20 units of special equipment of communication.

Members of the Operational group of Russian troops stationed in the Transnistrian region of Moldova, held special tactical exercises involving units. About it reports a press-service of the Western military district of Russia.

“During the exercises the military units deployed field units and individual stations that have implemented a binding to a fixed telephone network and provided to the command control group of individual employees and divisions, as well as interactive and superior military authorities”, – stated in the message of the defense Ministry.

It is noted that military communicators worked with the organization of protection and defense, anti-sabotage and reconnaissance groups of the imaginary enemy and work in a complex electronic environment.

Earlier the government of Moldova has repeatedly stated the inadmissibility of military exercises on the territory of Transnistrian region. Military exercises with the participation of Russian troops in Transnistria are held regularly.

In his speech at the UN General Assembly in new York Prime Minister of Moldova Pavel Philip called on the international community to assist in addressing the question of a complete withdrawal of Russian troops and munitions from the Transnistrian region.

The structure of the Operational group of Russian forces in Transnistria has about 1,400 troops and military depots in the village sausage Rybnitsa district are more than 20 thousand tons of ammunition.
