The Russian government intends to increase excise taxes on fuel for Russians, the proceeds will be spent on infrastructure projects in Kaliningrad oblast and in the Crimea.

According to interlocutors of publication, the increase will be in two stages – 50 kopecks. for 1 l of 1 January and 1 July. This will lead to higher fuel prices by 1.5%, or 60 kopecks/liter. Given the market risks of price growth until the end of 2017 2.8 rubles/liter, the price of gasoline in Russia could pass the psychological mark of 40 rubles/liter.

The Russian government on the request of “Vedomosti” either not answered, or declined to comment.

According to Federal officials with whom managed to communicate the publication, the initiator of increase of excises by the Ministry of transport of the Russian Federation. Obtained as a result of this initiative, the money will be spent for construction of trails “coastal ring” in the Kaliningrad region, as well as the track “Tavrida” in the Crimea.

Representatives of heads of the Kaliningrad region and the Crimea are unable to answer the questions of “Vedomosti”.
