The Ministry of foreign Affairs called the fake news of the American edition of The New York Times about the section with the fake news on the foreign Ministry website.
On February 22, the Russian foreign Ministry has opened on its website a section that publishes a denial of the news by Western media that contains, according to diplomats, the false information about Russia.
Initially, the representatives of the Russian foreign Ministry published just screenshots this news, on top of which stood a big red stamp “FAKE”.
Any reasons why the news is fake, Russian diplomats are not given. The newspaper the New York Times pointed out about this when I wrote the news section on the website of the foreign Ministry.
From 27 February, the Russian foreign Ministry began to add to the history of printing “FAKE” comments that explain the Ministry’s position. March 1 this comment left about the article on the NYT page with fake news.
The Ministry declared false the assertion that Russia “announces fake any articles that she does not like”, and the foreign Ministry “creates an alternate reality”. Diplomats said that “the position of the Russian side deliberately distorted”. In addition, the “lack of objective analysis of similar projects in Russian Euro-Atlantic institutions, but even their mention”.
