The Russian foreign Ministry protested the ban on Crimean wines on the Italian exhibition

Zakharova traditionally blamed Kiev.

Russia is outraged by the ban on Crimean wines at the exhibition in Italy and considers it a provocation of Kiev. This was stated by the speaker of the Russian foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova, reports the press service of the Ministry.

“Considering what happened at the annual international exhibition of wine (“VinItaly”) in Verona to the incident with the arrest of the party of Russian wines, which are produced in the Crimea as a provocation, inspired by the representatives of the Kiev authorities in Italy”, – said Zakharov.
She expressed surprise that the Italian authorities are unable to prevent it.

“This step, as the organizers of major international events, which, of course, is the “VinItaly”, in fact, violated their obligation to ensure the most favorable conditions for all participants of the exhibition. Made to justify this action to the appropriate regulations of the EU Council is absolutely groundless. We checked it out. This document, although it has Anticriminal orientation, but not for the prohibition on non-commercial exhibition of goods produced in the Crimea”, – the diplomat added.

As it became known on April 10, at the wine Expo in Verona (Italy) the Russians were forced to remove from its stand of the wine of the annexed Crimea. To solve the problem had to involve the local financial police.

In turn, the Ukrainian foreign Ministry stated that it sent a note to the Italian side to end the exposure of Crimean wine.
