Russia outlined “objective picture of the situation” in the South-East of Ukraine and Crimea.
The Ministry of foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation voiced its position relative to the held 6-9 March hearings at the International court of justice in the Hague on the claim of Ukraine against Russia.
“Russia stated its position: Ukraine is using the court as a platform to voice politicized charges beyond the jurisdiction of the court, provided evidence that Ukraine has failed to substantiate adequately its claim, and set out an objective picture of the situation in the South-East of Ukraine and in Crimea”, – reads the statement of the Russian diplomatic Agency.
The Russian foreign Ministry also expressed confidence that the court’s decision will be made soon.
As reported Корреспондент.net Ukraine has filed a lawsuit in the international court of justice in the Hague on January 16. Kiev intends to bring Russia to justice for committing “acts of terrorism and discrimination for its aggression against Ukraine.”
The lawsuit was filed under the International Convention for the suppression of the financing of terrorism and the International Convention on the elimination of all forms of racial discrimination.
