The Russian expert described a possible successor to Putin

Российский эксперт назвал возможного преемника Путина His version said the former adviser to the Russian President.

Russian President Vladimir Putin intends to remain in the Kremlin for life, but today he is actively looking for people who will be able after his death to continue his policy. This opinion was expressed by the Russian economist, former adviser to Putin Andrei Illarionov.

“Putin will not leave power voluntarily, he will remain in power until then, yet be alive. He does not propose any reform and “restructuring”… Now he understands that he can’t leave the government – if he leaves the Kremlin, it will not survive,” — said the Russian expert.

According to him, Putin does not feel safe outside the Kremlin, therefore, will remain in power until the end. But this does not mean that he is not preparing a successor, which in the future will be able to continue his work.

Illarionov recalled version of the Russian media that the daughter of the President of the Russian Federation Ekaterina Tikhonova will be able to participate in the presidential elections in Russia in 2024 or even later.

“Will the new Russian generation, which will continue his work. But Putin can look for successors among the members of the so-called “cooperative “Lake”. It can also be one of his friends and colleagues in the FSB and KGB, as, for example, Sergey Naryshkin (head of the foreign intelligence Service – ed.) or someone like him,” says the ex-Advisor to the President of the Russian Federation.

“I’m sure he thinks a lot about a successor, which from his point of view can continue his policy”, — said Illarionov.
