Deputy defense Minister of Russia compared the events in Syria since the first Crimean war.
The Deputy defense Minister, Colonel-General Andrei Kartapolov, in an interview with Rossm called the events in Syria a “war for the manger of the Lord.”
Kartapolov compared the war in Syria with events in the Crimea in 1853.
“Remember, the first Crimean war was called the war “the manger of the Lord”, for the British, the French, the Turks decided we need to block access to the Mediterranean and to Jerusalem. Every soldier on the Malakhov Kurgan knew that fighting for Bethlehem. And what is happening now in Syria, can be considered another act of war “the manger of the Lord” – said the Deputy Minister of defence of the Russian Federation.
