Genre humanistic photography originated in Europe in the 1930-ies, and one of its brightest representatives was a photographer from Switzerland Sabine Weiss. In 1946, she moved from Geneva to Paris and began to photograph scenes of everyday life of the post-war city.
This series kind of humanistic photos made her famous.
