The representatives of Armenia and Azerbaijan met in new York

The ambassadors discussed the difficult situation that has developed between the two peoples.

The foreign Ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan Edward Nalbandian and Elmar Mammadyarov on Saturday in new York city began negotiations on the Karabakh settlement.

“In new York, began the meeting of foreign Ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan,” wrote in a microblog on Twitter press Secretary of the Armenian foreign Ministry Tigran Balayan.

In turn, the press Secretary of Azerbaijani foreign Ministry Hikmet Hajiyev wrote on Twitter that E. Mammadyarov and Nalbandian meet with the co-chairs of the OSCE Minsk group.

“Now Mammadyarov meets with his Armenian counterpart Edward Nalbandian and the OSCE Minsk group,” wrote H. Hajiyev.

The meeting discussed settlement of the Karabakh conflict.

Earlier, Edward Nalbandian said that during the meeting with the Azerbaijani foreign Minister will discuss the organization of a possible meeting between the presidents of Armenia and Azerbaijan and the visit of the co-chairs of the OSCE Minsk group to the region.
