Putin has called the players “heroes”.
Press Secretary of the President Dmitry Peskov said that Vladimir Putin called the Russian players who lost to Croatia in the match for the semi-finals of the world Cup, “heroes” who “died on the field.”
Social networks ambiguously took these words of Putin.
“There are two associations: Yes, died, played half dead. And “heroes” for VIN – is necessarily the ones who die,” – wrote on Twitter page “time of Troubles”.
