The luxury compact SUV Range Rover Evoque new generation will get a rechargeable hybrid powertrain Plug-in Hybrid (PHEV). However, its characteristics are not yet known.
The first generation of the Range Rover Evoque was introduced in 2011. In 2016 it updated, the legs of the new generation yet. The British plan to develop a new generation of this model.
Now the Evoque engine range includes a 2.0 liter petrol engine capacity of 240 HP and a 2.2 l diesel in two power versions (150 HP and 190 HP). As the company Jaguar Land Rover has taken the course on “electricity” (by 2020 all new models of this company will be in one degree or another electric), and the new Evoque will get a hybrid version. It will be powered by a rechargeable hybrid powertrain PHEV, consisting of a 1.5 liter gasoline engine, electric motor and lithium-ion battery.
This SUV will be able to ride in on one motor. However, approximately 50 km, not more. However, this figure corresponds to similar figures for existing hybrid vehicles. What are the dynamic characteristics of this novelty is not known.
Jaguar Land Rover has said nothing about the date of the official premiere of the new Evoque. In the light of policy of “electrification” we would not be surprised if its sales will begin in 2019. But it is only our own assumption.
