Photospin noticed a car on the road.
At first glance it may seem that this is the current Skoda Octavia with the lowered suspension because of a slightly prikrojeno of the trunk. However, the “eagle” eye of photospies have noticed that it is, in fact, an early prototype of the new fourth generation car. And, if you look closely, you’ll see some differences from the current model.
First of all, is the redesigned front panel — though controversial dual headlights of the current Octavia still present, they are now complemented by a brand new lower grille and artificial inlets. It remains to be seen how close this new front panel to ensure that you will receive the production car. But this is not the only element that brings out the true identity of this prototype.
Look at the wheels and you will notice a center located some sensors. In addition, we can assume the car sits so low due to some heavy test equipment in the trunk.
Skoda Octavia is produced by the Czech company since 1996 and is currently offered in the third generation. The current Octavia, with which we are most familiar, appeared in early 2017 as the upgraded model with the aforementioned dual headlamps and constant back panel.
What powertrains will be offered 2020 Octavia, yet to be determined, but it is likely that plug-in hybrid system used in the Superb upcoming PHEV, is considering a Skoda. In addition, should be available to the traditional combination of diesel and gasoline engines.
If you are concerned about the absence in the prototype of the significant changes in style, no need to put that so it will look like the final production version of the new iteration of the Octavia. Skoda seem to just took the current model as a mule and proceeded to testing it without installing new body panels.
