Influential American promoter Bob Arum has shared information about the plans of the Ukrainian palotaja Alexander Carnation.
Carnations from September of the current year topped the rating WBO, as the new champion for this version recently became Russian Sergey Kovalev, nokautirovav in the second round of Ukrainian Vyacheslav Shabran.
“I congratulate Kovalev with the return of WBO belt at light heavyweight. Now let’s see how he handles the mandatory Challenger, Alexander Carnations – really dangerous fighter,” Arum wrote on his page on “Twitter”.
The President of the promotion company “Top Rank” sees no problems in organising the fight Kovalev-Carnations on the TV channel “HBO”, although Arum recently collaborated with “ESPN”.
Carnations could be for Kovalev for the vacant WBO title, but chose to move on the line WBC. Ukrainian was to hold a qualifying bout against unbeaten American prospect Marcus brown, but the fight fell through.
At the moment it is unknown when will be the next fight Alexander Carnation. Kharkov had not left the ring since August 20 when the US knocked out Craig Baker and defended the title of champion of the North America version of the NABF.
